@Jenrard when sonic is in supersonic he too is invinsible and can also kill anything by touch. so the invincibility they both got from their super powerups protected them from their OHKO touch which explains why they couldnt do much damage to each other while they where on those forms

@Nesninja85 Sigh, I guess. I just hate to see Mario die in such an ignominious manner, and the fact that they MADE UP a scenario that would never happen (as mentioned earlier, Mario getting exhausted) to make him lose only makes it worse. I still think Mario is stronger than Sonic in spite of the speed and Mario is cunning enough to put Sega’s spikey yet cockey mascot to his grave, but oh well. Just a game, eh?

@WhamBamJam98 At one point in the sonic comics Sonic had absorbed (ALOT) of magical ring energy therefore he had the ring energy stored in him without the need for the rings so all he really needs are the emeralds.

@ytchip21 (people need to do their homework) Sonic has taken more than his fair share of a beating from enemies with attack far stronger than mario’s. an example: Energak, he is a chaos powered Demi-God (almost literally raw chaos energy from the master emerald itself) and if sonic is able to beat that then im sure he can survive a punch from mario. Plus hes able to take on shadow evenly matched and everyone knows how shadows punches are so yeah “DENIED”

@gladeplugins lol ya, we could go on debating till the world ends about different scenarios and variables. Just remember Sonic may have won out over mario, but who’s still in business making actual systems? Guess nintendo overall won that one =)
